By Tim Healey/DFP Staff

At long last, Boston University athletics has released the 2012-13 men's hockey schedule.

Trips to the University of North Dakota and the University of Denver highlight the non-conference slate. The Terriers will play at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D., on Nov. 2 and 3, and then make the trip out to Denver for the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game on Dec. 29.

BU opens its season with its annual exhibition game against a Canadian college team, this year versus the University of Toronto. The Terriers and Varsity Blues will drop the puck on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. at Agganis Arena.

Jack Parker will start his 40th season as the Terriers' bench boss with a home game against Providence College on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.

BU will host Boston College in the pair's first game of the season on Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. The Comm. Ave. rivals will have their home-and-home series on Nov. 30 (at Agganis) and Dec. 1 (at Conte Forum).

Northeastern University will be BU's opponent in the first round of the Beanpot Tournament at TD Garden. That game will be Feb. 4 at 5 p.m.

Besides North Dakota and Denver, BU will play non-conference games against St. Lawrence University (Nov. 24, the Saturday after Thanksgiving), Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Jan. 4) and Harvard University (Jan. 9).
